Mike Christensen created Truro Partners after a 25-year finance and treasury career, including 16 years working in the property sector for ASX top 50 listed property trusts such as DEXUS Property Group and Westfield. He's worked for organisations in the UK, US and Australia.

Our key philosophy is about strategy, customers and systems

We love helping businesses work towards sustainable business growth by focusing on three critical elements:

  1. A strong, overarching business strategy.  You must have a clear (documented) idea of what you want your business to achieve.  This must be well communicated, frequently referred to and often updated.

  2. A customer-centric culture.  Taking the time and effort to "walk in your customers shoes" can be a real eye opener and game changer to the way you run your business.

  3. A strong operating "rhythm".  Set up systems, processes, governance and roles and responsibilities to work seamlessly together.  This will help your business report regularly and with great accuracy on goals and results.

A history of contribution to strong businesses

Mike's last executive role was General Manager, Group Treasury for DEXUS Property Group.  His other roles at DEXUS included Head of Finance Transformation and Head of Strategic Planning.  His team was awarded the Australian Financial Review (AFR) Corporate Treasury team of the year in 2012.

Mike's also a qualified and experienced company director with current and past directorships accross financial services / funds management, property, health / aged care, education and professional associations. Mike is a past president and chair of the Australian Corporate Treasury Association (ACTA), and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Mike holds a Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Bachelor in Business Management (majoring in economics) from QUT.
